Coot Chick

Do people still call ladies "chicks" these days? Hmmm... looks like they do (amazing story!). Anyway, we got Coot Chicks today! Coot and naked as the day they were born! Phwoar! It's just that they were probably born a few days ago.

You see, when I was reading up for Bald as a Coot, I was utterly stunned at how the little youngsters looked.

They're mostly a downy black colour, but around their neck is this flaming yellow with a load of red on the head. It looks like they're on fire!

Then there's a massive bald patch on top, so it even looks like they're courageously dealing with the effects of a slowly burning bonce.

And then the little fella gets out of the water. Now we see those ridiculously gigantic feet and magnificent tootsies.

It looks like a fire-breathing beast, undone by its own clumsiness.
