Samuel Orr is hoping to raise $20,000 from random strangers on the internet so that he can go to Australia and film lots of weird and wonderful Cicadas from across the country and all its habitats.

Even without going to Australia, he's already on his way to making a very nice, hour long documentary that could end up on the telly! Or on a DVD sent your way if you pledge enough money to his project.

Some of the stuff on Kickstarter is so weird. It's amazing what kind of stuff seems to someone or others dream come true. And it can be incredible how much money random strangers will club together and give. $20,000 is almost nothing at all!
