15 Poison Dart Frogs

There are over 200 species of Poison Dart Frog found in South and Central America, each one advertising their stomach-curdling defences with bright colour and vivid pattern. Some, like the Strawberry Poison Dart Frog, have more than a dozen wildly differing morphs within the same species.

Here's but the slightest taste of aposematic colouration which duly caught my eye!

that warning make for great wall art. :)

And if you could get all the species and all the morphs, no two parts of the wall would look alike!

How funny, I was just reading about the Golden Poison Dart Frog earlier today. I was most struck by the fact that they apparently don't manufacture their deadly poison themselves, but pick it up from something they eat in their natural habitat (frogs bred in captivity are completely non-poisonous).

Yes! It seems to come from ants, centipedes and various poisonous beetles. Nice skill if you can do it!

Looks like a cocktail menu to me. ;)

Haha! A Dart Frog cocktail bar could work. The "what's your poison" joke would get old fast, though!
